Ishant & Co. tear apart Hyderabad batting line-up as Delhi inch close to an innings win

PACE EFFECTIVE

DESPITE not finding a place in the limited-over Indian team in a while now, Ishant Sharma is a regular feature in Virat Kohli’s Test side. And the pacer just showed on Thursday why he is considered a red cherry specialist on Day 2 of Delhi’s Ranji Trophy group A game against Hyderbadad.

29 overs was all Ishant and his two co-pacers took to bundle out Hyderabad for a mere 69 as the capital side took firm control.

The pace overdose for the visitors meant Shikhar Dhawan-led side took a massive lead of 195 runs by the end of day’s play.

Stepping into bat after restricting Delhi to 284 in the first innings, Hyderabad batsmen never got the feel of the wicket and looked at sea against Ishant (4/19), Simarjeet Singh (4/23) and Pawan Suyal (2/25).
