Ahead of Delhi election, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Manoj Tiwari told India Today TV that every Delhi voter is BJP’s chief minister face. As India Today TV’s Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai asked him about not having a CM face is reflective of the BJP’s weakness, Tiwari said, “They [Aam Aadmi Party] know very well that the BJP is going to form the government [in Delhi].”
Tiwari was asked who is it against Arvind Kejriwal in the upcoming Delhi Assembly election to which he said, “It is Kejriwal vs 1.5 lakh contract workers and it is Kejriwal vs people troubled by unsafe drinking water.”
The BJP leader said that the party has a CM face and “it is BJP party symbol kamal [Lotus]”.
“We are asking for votes in the name of Lotus,” Tiwari said.
Talking about opinion polls predicting Kejriwal’s popularity, he said, “Whatever polls I have seen the BJP is leading. We carried out a survey and asked who will in Delhi and 79 percent said that the BJP will win.”
Tiwari also accused the Chief Minister of using of paid volunteers and added that Congress is in a better position than the AAP.
