Van Gaal tells Ten Hag to join a football club, not a 'commercial club like United'

LOUIS van Gaal has urged Erik ten Hag not to take the United job and to "choose a football club, not a commercial club'.

The Ajax boss was interviewed by the Reds last week and is understood to be the club's preferred choice for the role.

But fellow Dutchman Van Gaal, who won the FA Cup during his spell in charge at Old Trafford between 2014 and 2016, has warned Ten Hag to consider his options carefully.
