Cebu City Police Office (CPPO) Director Col. Cydric Earl Tamayo said those who will defy quarantine protocols will be arrested, and appropriate charges will be filed against them.
“We will be exercising maximum tolerance. We will ask violators to go home but if they become unruly, we will not hesitate to arrest them,” said Tamayo.
The city was downgraded to general community quarantine last June 1, but was reverted to ECQ last Monday as COVID-19 cases continued to rise in the city.
Tamayo said authorities will have to be more strict in the second round of ECQ if the public wants to have a more relaxed quarantine protocols.
