It has been more than three decades since Tamil Nadu last won the Ranji Trophy. The team has been trying hard year after year in vain. This time around, former ICC chairman N. Srinivasan asked the players to bring the prestigious trophy home.
“In my little career that I have played competitive sport, I have never lost. And, I have great expectations from you this time. The fire must burn in each one of you and I want you to fight and bring the trophy home as this is the only thing that we have not got to see for a long time,” he told the Tamil Nadu players during the inauguration of the CDCA-Sri Ramakrishna Institutions Turf grounds and pavilion here on Sunday.
