BJP legislature party may meet on Monday to decide on the next Chief Minister
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was flown to the national capital and admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), amid continued concern over his health.
The BJP legislature party is likely to meet on Monday to decide on who to elect as the next Chief Minister.
According to sources, Mr. Parrikar has been admitted to the private ward under Dr. Pramod Garg in the Department of Gastroenterology.
“The Chief Minister, who has been undergoing treatment for a pancreatic ailment, is being examined by a team of doctors,” said a source at the AIIMS.
Mr. Parrikar, 62, had returned from the U.S. after medical treatment in the first week of September, days after which he was admitted to a hospital at Candolim in north Goa.
“He was examined by a team of doctors and will undergo a few tests,” said a health official.
