Malin, 27, suffered broken bones and bruising after being assaulted by her then-boyfriend Tom Kemp – because she wanted to stay out partying with friends. Kemp was jailed this week for 10 months after admitting the attack.

Badly bruised Malin, who had to be treated for a broken hand, told a friend: “I couldn’t move for about two weeks.”

A pal of the relieved star said: “Her nightmare is over at last.”

The attack was the culmination of a campaign of mental and physical abuse by Kemp, 29, who Malin has called “manipulative” and “a narcissist”.
