At 15, Deaths In City Lowest In 186 Days; 746 New Cases

Mumbai: The city on Tuesday saw its lowest addition to Covid-19 deaths in 186 days, a testimony of the declining coronavirus curve. With 15 fatalities, the death toll reached 10,323. The last time the city had seen fewer than 15 deaths was on May 1, when five people had died. At its peak, the city had seen up to 120 deaths in a day in June.

At 746, the count of new cases, too, declined, taking the tally to 2,59,857. It was the fourth day in a row that the city had reported fewer than 1,000 new cases in a day.

Municipal officials said the overall growth of cases between October 27 and November 2 had been 0.38%. The doubling rate had improved to 185 days now.

Of the 15 deaths, eight cases had co-morbidities.
