SOORYAVANSHI WAS READY TO HIT THEATRES WHEN THE PANDEMIC STRUCK US. WE HAVE WAITED FOR OVER A YEAR TO RELEASE IT IN THEATRES. IT’S NOT EASY TO HOLD BACK SUCH A BIG FILM... THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY BLOCKED
High-speed car chases, flying vehicles and intense fight scenes are just some of the things that are synonymous with a Rohit Shetty film. But apart from his hit movies, the filmmaker is also known to be the encouraging and witty host of the popular stunt-based reality show, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi (KKK). Shooting amid the pandemic poses several challenges, but Rohit shot a major portion of the Ranveer Singh starrer Cirkus in 2020 and KKK in May-June this year.
Talking about how challenging the phase has been, he says, “It’s been tough both as a human being and as a producer. But you have to be strong, as so many people depend on you for their livelihood. It is important to be brave because at the end of the day, you have to take care of so many families. When you have people looking up to you, you can’t afford to fall, especially during these challenging times.”
We have to take things in our stride and move on, we can’t stop, says Rohit Shetty
