The end of endometriosis

One out of 10 females go through endometriosis, but seldom talk about it. (Endometriosis is when the tissue that makes up the lining of the womb is present on other organs inside your body).

I had the symptoms since I was 22. I’d get bad cramps and nausea during my menstrual cycles, mood swings and irritability, blurred vision—the works. Whenever I spoke about it to anyone around, they told me it is normal and every girl goes through it. At the age of 24, I had to undergo a complete medical checkup and I was diagnosed with extreme endometriosis—chocolate cysts, which had engulfed both my ovaries.

Changing course

I joined a gym, but endometriosis brings with it tremendous fatigue. So, I gave it up. I was not at peace with my health condition and was looking for something that could take care of both, my body and mind. Thankfully, we had a Yogasharam in our vicinity and that really worked for me. At the physical level, the asanas helped, and on a mental level, pranayama and meditation worked wonders. Along with it came the shatkarmas, the cleansing practices and Yoga Nidra, the psychic sleep to deal with your emotions in the subconscious. And with this schedule, a timely eating habit helped me a lot.

Treat it right
