Horse-riding
Gallop Stable’s beginner course for kids aged four and above is a good opportunity for your budding equestrian to pick up basic riding skills, from mounting and dismounting a horse to leading it and getting it to walk and trot.
He will also learn how to correctly sit on the animal. Once he has gained enough experience and feels confident handling and being on a horse, he can try longer and more advanced riding lessons.
HOW MUCH A private 30-minute lesson costs $75 on weekdays and $85 on weekends; you can also buy a package of five or 10 riding sessions. Gallop Stable has two locations – Bukit Timah and Pasir Ris. Ages four and up.

Multi-sports
Vivokids’ multi-sports programme is made up of six sports: Soccer, rugby, floorball, basketball, T-ball, and tennis.
Each targets specific control skills in your little one – throwing, catching and kicking in the case of rugby, dribbling and kicking for soccer, and catching and striking in the case of tennis, for instance.
The programme is designed to improve your kid’s motor and stability skills, as well as help with sport-specific skills such as agility, speed, endurance, strength and reaction time.
During their hourlong lessons, they learn important social skills like communication, decisionmaking, and problem-solving. They also develop emotional skills, like self-confidence, initiative, resilience, and versatility.
HOW MUCH A 12-session package costs $360 and a 24-session package costs $672. There is a $50 registration fee. The “pay as you play” option is $38 per class. Vivokids has six locations including Holland Village and The Cage Kallang. Ages three and up.
