The Bible says God sings songs; songs of deliverance and joy. If God sang a pop song, it would hit the top of the chart, full of love and affirmation. But does God sing sad songs? Like a pop song lyric, could God sing something like this about any of us?
There are numerous Scriptures that speak of the blessings God heaps on us day in and day out. In fact, the Gospel is just that, “Good News” about the greatness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV). God has given us purpose. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:8–10 NKJV). God has provided a way for us to have peace in this world. Jesus says in John 14:25– 27 (NIV), “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.”
