If you want peace and joy in your life, learn to think positively…
At the start of the cycle of Yugas, that is Sathya Yuga, all human beings were good. In the next cycle, that is Thretha Yuga (the Ramayana period), people from one part of the world were good and those in another part were bad – for example, Lord Rama from Ayodhya was good and Ravana from Sri Lanka was bad. In the next cycle of Yugas, that is Dwapara Yuga (the Mahabharata period), people in the same family were good as well as bad – for example, the Pandavas and the Kauravas. In the present Yuga, which is known as Kali Yuga, the same human being behaves well at times and badly at other times. The same mind has love and kindness sometimes and has hatred and anger at other times. Both good and bad are manifested in the mind. Whichever is fed by the concerned person, that thought, or emotion will dominate. The thought process of a person is what feeds the good or the bad in him.
All scriptures and saints repeatedly lay so much importance to the quality of thoughts in a human being. This is because our thoughts lead into actions, actions lead into tendency, tendency to habit, habit into character and character will lead to destiny. Thus, our behaviour is shaped by our thoughts.
This thought process is closely linked to our energy system. Energy flows where our thoughts and attention go. Everything in our Universe is energy including our thoughts. In that sense we human beings are also energy. So, it is very important to learn how energy flows from us and how it affects our lives.
