Wallowing in self-pity when things go wrong is not the solution. You need to find a way out…
Every generation of teens is shaped by the social, political and economic events of the day. They are the generation whose lives are saturated by mobile technology and social media. They come up with new concepts and ideas unthought of and unheard of.
I recently got to know about a neighbourhood girl who threw a pity party for her friends as she had recently broken up with her boyfriend. I have heard of kitty party, pyjama party, surprise party and so on, but this pity party was a totally new-fangled concept for me.
It seems that pity party is a relatively recent concept in which sober parties are thrown for friends and loved ones to gain their sympathy. As a host of the pity party you can cry your heart out, talk as much as you want and get as many pats on the back as you like. This can be an official way to earn the sympathy and pity of your near and dear ones.
