Beretta Belter!

Dave Barham rattles off a few shots with the Beretta PX4 Storm CO2 pistol.
Beretta Belter!

Manufactured under licence by Umarex, this compact heavyweight is one of the most versatile pistols that I have reviewed to date.

First off, I have to talk about the magazine. It ejects from the pistol via the usual push-button release on the handle. However, once out this is where the similarities with most other pistol mag’s stops. This stick magazine is double-ended, with a rotary 8-shot magazine housed at each end!

I love this concept, and after a bit of practice, you can achieve some impressive fast shooting results by rattling off eight shots, dropping the mag, flipping it over, reinserting and then carrying on shooting.

What’s more, the rotary mag’s at each end of the main stick mag’ can take .177 pellets as well as steel BBs, which adds to this particular pistol’s versatility and appeal.

WELL MADE

This pistol is extremely well made. It features a metal slide with a composite casing, which gives it sturdiness and the whole thing weighs in at 755g or 1.66lbs.

The rifled barrel provides surprisingly good accuracy at short range when using quality pellets. I managed consistent 1-inch groupings of eight shots with QYS Olympic Grade flatheads during rapid fire six yards!
