RATS … REDUX AND A FERAL PIGEON CLEAR-UP
In the days after my last outing, I was achy as usual so took it easy. Bruce was relaxing somewhat knowing there were now fewer pests, but we wanted to be sure, so we set up one of my trail cams overlooking the trouble spot, and from the footage I knew that there were still at least two rats to remove.

On my next visit, the larger of the rats showed itself pretty quickly, so I promptly stopped it dead in its tracks with a .177 JSB Hades between the eyes. Bruce was overjoyed, although just a few days later, he reported back with a mobile phone video he’d recorded just 10 feet away from not one, but two smaller rats. These were still around and appearing daily, and he messaged ‘Help!’, so yesterday after an intervening visit to another permission, I returned and resumed my usual stakeout position.
