On my next visit, the larger of the rats showed itself pretty quickly, so I promptly stopped it dead in its tracks with a .177 JSB Hades between the eyes. Bruce was overjoyed, although just a few days later, he reported back with a mobile phone video he’d recorded just 10 feet away from not one, but two smaller rats. These were still around and appearing daily, and he messaged ‘Help!’, so yesterday after an intervening visit to another permission, I returned and resumed my usual stakeout position.
