Celts ready to take on tough adversaries
Joe Sullivan
LIONS' SNARE

THE Hoops return to Celtic Park this weekend for the first time since the 3-0 win over Motherwell last month as Livingston make the trip along the M8.

The clubs met three times last term with a win, a draw and a defeat the outcome with both clubs sharing the spoils points-wise, but the Hoops edging ahead on the goals front against a side who have traditionally kept things tight against the Hoops, particularly in West Lothian in recent seasons.

Celtic Park can be a tough venue for visiting teams, though, and the most clear-cut game between the sides last term was in the East End of Glasgow and a 4-0 win that you can read about in this feature.

Livi won the first meeting last season on their artificial surface, and in the other clash at Almondvale, a last-minute equaliser form Tom Rogic saw the game finish 2-2.

Ahead of Saturday’s game, we take a look at some previous meetings between Celtic and Livingston.
