WHAT a week it’s been for the Bhoys. Two emphatic league wins either side of a difficult European away game where we left Romania with a priceless away goal.
The Celts are clearly set on laying down an early marker. The mood in the team seems really high at the minute and it’s clear the see the impression that Neil Lennon is making.
It’s hard not to be impressed with the manager’s side and how they’ve started in the league and Champions League qualifiers. The Bhoys have scored 25 goals in seven games, ahead of Tuesday night’s second leg against Cluj.
Last season it took the Bhoys 16 games to reach that total. On October 7, 2018, Leigh Griffiths scored Celtic’s 12th league goal of the season, whereas this year Ryan Christie, managed to do it against Motherwell on Saturday, August 10 – 58 days earlier.
Individually, what a brilliant start to the season for the Bhoy from Inverness! The attacking midfielder has contributed nine goals in six competitive games (seven goals and two assists) already.
