The Indian Premier League (IPL) will be in its eleventh edition this year. While teams like Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have won the title multiple times, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) – despite being led by the Indian captain Virat Kohli – have failed to win the tournament even once. What’s worse is the fact that they have been unable to reach the knockout stages in half of the seasons. The below par performances of Kohli’s men begs the question - why has the skipper who has been leading the Men in Blue so successfully for over three years now, has not been able to mirror the same for his franchise.
