It’s not just on the pitch that central-defensive pairing Gabby George and Georgia Brougham have a tight bond.
The young pair have been ever-present for Everton Ladies in their opening four league and cup fixtures of the 2017/18 campaign, with the duo also the preferred centre-backs throughout the title-winning Spring Series earlier this year.
But both George and Brougham are close off the pitch as well, with the defenders both hailing from Manchester, signing from United and City respectively.
For George, that bond has been pivotal in them forming a strong understanding as the Blue Girls’ defensive pairing.
