1 Are you slicing or hooking the ball? If so, it's a good idea to check your grip. Correct hand position on the club, whether you're interlocking or overlapping, will not only help the clubface return square at impact, it will give you optimum power. If you can see three or four knuckles on your left hand (right-handed golfers) at address and your right hand is almost underneath the club (below), that's a strong grip. This will most commonly lead to hooks, as the face wants to turn over through impact (pictured). Everyone's hands and knuckles are different sizes, so this is just a guide.
