Whether your training plan lasts eight, 12, 16, or 20 weeks, that plan will likely break up the work into four-week blocks that build in difficulty. You might be tempted to look ahead and worry about the mileage in future training blocks, but try to avoid that—you’ll just overwhelm yourself. Instead, focus only on today’s miles as a springboard into tomorrow’s run.
