Big Blue Nation turns its lonely eyes to you, lovable curmudgeon!
Who would have guessed less than two years removed from the “resignation” of crusty Tom Coughlin that Giants fans would miss those warm and fuzzy days when the gruff old-school leader roamed the sidelines?
I could be wrong, but I don’t think Coughlin ever traveled across the country to lose to a 0-9 team, especially while fielding a 1-7 team, in the midst of a crashing asteroid of a season. And please don’t look it up to prove me wrong. Like John Belushi in Animal House, I think I’m on a roll.
Here’s the thing…there has been much speculation about which spouting player wasn’t man enough to disclose his name when he told a reporter that former (or is he still current?) coach Ben McAdoo has lost the team. Really? The average 9-year old (let’s just say my son) can tell simply by listing the scores of the eight Giant losses. I mean, when was the last time a Giants team lost 51-17 at home?
