More photo fun and frolics with this respected art app.
Pixelmator Pro 2.1 Coral

Pixelmator has long been at the forefront of cost-effective image editors; a capable, high-end art suite that costs a fraction of the price of Photoshop. This new release is a significant update with a range of new features, as well as a hatful of improvements and fixes.

The Crop Tool has had a major redesign. There’s now a new ML Crop button. Based on Machine Learning, it offers suggestions about how you can crop your photo to make it more attractive and impactive. Instead of moving the handles manually to decide what portion of the photograph to keep, click ML Crop and the app does this for you automatically. You can then accept the suggested crop, fine-tune it to your requirements or click ML Crop again to reset the tool.

The new Crop Tool is faster, especially with large, multi-layered documents that sometimes took a while to crop in previous releases of Pixelmator. If your perspective needs adjusting, a couple of sliders let you make the necessary adjustments, and to help you gauge what needs to be done, there are seven overlays to choose from; Rule of Thirds, Grid, Diagonal, Triangle, Golden Ratio, Golden Spiral and Center.
