Since the 600 series has completed 25 successful years, the current edition has been christened the Anniversary Edition. Unlike its elder brother, the 606, the 607 speakers are less sensitive (84 dB at 8 ohms) but can handle upto 100 Watts per channel. Ideally, the amp should be over 30 Watts per channel. Technically, the 607s feature an aluminium dome tweeter that is decoupled from the main cabinet and a continuum cone driver for mid-tones and bass. The speakers are available in black, white or oak finish and can be bi-wired. Each speaker weighs 4.7 Kgs and measures 30x16.5x30.7 cms. Solid stand mounts are strongly recommended. </p><div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always"><p>We auditioned the 607s with the Marantz 6006 amplifier and Marantz 6006 CD player. Overall, a super performance.</p><p>The 607 S2 was being retailed in London at 449 pounds. The Indian MRP is &#8377;75,000. Obviously, discounts will be available. Combine them with a quality amplifier from the Marantz, NAD or Denon stable and they will give you hours and hours of listening pleasure.
