It was not too long ago that 6GB RAM in a smartphone would feel like an overkill. Now it has become standard even in most mid-level and even a few budget smartphones. Samsung has launched its mid-level phones for this year, and the devices offer some advanced specs. The Galaxy A52 is perched right in the middle of these devices.
The A52 has a plastic back, and the device does not make any attempt to hide the flimsy plastic feel. The phone is available in four subtle pastel shades — Awesome Violet, Awesome Black, Awesome White and Awesome Blue. The camera bump resembles those of the new galaxy devices. A curved glossy band runs through the perimeter. Power switch and volume rocker are at the right-hand side. The top panel includes the hybrid card slot that accepts a SIM and either an additional SIM or a MicroSD memory card up to 1TB. A 3.5mm microphone jack is offered at the bottom along with the USB Type-C port and perforations for microphone and speaker. Measuring 159.9 x 75.1 x 8.4mm and weighing 189g, the device is light and comfortable for single-hand use. The Galaxy A52 uses a 6.5-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400) Infinity-O Super AMOLED display with a centre punch-hole camera. The screen offers 90Hz refresh rate. The phone has an IP67 ingress protection rating, which translates to complete dust proofing with freshwater ingress protection for up to one metre of depth for up to 30 minutes.
