Every year, a new batch of evolutionary sound products hits the market, and this year is no different. The advances in sound quality, delivery, and product design are remarkable, considering the constraints on engineers and designers. The improvements keep consumer options exciting, fresh, and even a bit overwhelming. Having evaluated the portable audio landscape for quite some time, I assessed the latest earbud offerings and present this list of the top five wireless earbuds currently available. Notably, this list does not include Apple's own earbuds, as those are such a default among iPhone users that including them would be redundant. In addition to fully supporting the iPhone with accompanying apps, these earbuds also work flawlessly with non-Apple devices such as Android phones. Here's my list for this year's top wireless earbuds, presented in alphabetical order.
Bowers & Wilkins Bowers & P17 ($399
These earbuds are the most expensive on this list and for good reason. Bowers & Wilkins has created an audio experience tailored for seasoned audiophiles. Each earbud has its own amplifiers with 24-bit Qualcomm aptX adaptive sound and noise cancellation. They also have six microphones for the best call transmission quality I tested. It not only works as a fast wireless charging station but doubles as a Bluetooth base transmitter. This allows you to connect audio devices with wired headphone jacks into the included plug to use it for products that don't have Bluetooth.

LOCK YOUR APPLE ID WITH A PHYSICAL KEY
Security keys are physical items that can be used to verify your identity when logging into your Apple ID. If you are planning to use security keys, make sure you have at least two. Apple requires you use two, so that if you lose one, you will have another as a backup. At iPhone Life, a brand we recommend is the Yubico Yubikey 5Ci ($75).

WHY I DITCHED MY APPLE WATCH FOR THE OURA RING
Every morning for the past three months, I wake up wearing a shiny gold ring on my right pointer finger. If you look closely, you can see beams of red or green light leaking out the sides as it scans my heart rate, respiratory rate, and body temperature. I roll out of bed, grab my phone, and open the Oura app.
THE BEST APPS OF 2024
One of the most frequent questions I’m asked by friends and family is “Which app should I download?” With millions of options out there, choosing which apps to use is a task that stumps many people. Will a free version overload you with ads? Is the paid version worth it?
OPINION: I HAVE SEEN THE FUTURE WITH APPLE VISION PRO, AND IT SUCKS.
