Go ahead—take a walk on the wild side by manoeuvring Rajasthan’s many unspoiled, picturesque protected reserves and sanctuaries and fall in love with nature and the outdoors all over again.
RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK, SAWAI MADHOPUR
One of India’s most famed national parks, Ranthambore National Park is nestled in the midst of the verdant foliage of the mighty Aravalli and Vindhya ranges and covers an area spanning 392sqkm. Once regarded as the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the park actually gets its name from the imposing Ranthambore Fort situated within its confines. Although the main attraction here is undoubtedly the magnificent Bengal tiger, the park is also populated with an array of other animal species—including sambhars and cheetals.
