Goa’s first e-cycle tours are here. Easy to use, environment friendly and fun- B:Live is the new alternative to exploring the sunny state. Jason Santos gets on a bike to explore Divar and Panjim with B:Live.
LAZY village roads winding through paddy fields or even bustling city roads that house pockets of heritage buildings as well as stories of Goa’s colonial rule, the state has something interesting at every turn. Look beyond the parties and the beaches, Goa has a lot of beauty and heritage to take in. The latest initiative to allow people to look beyond the regular ‘tourist things’ as well as encourage eco- tourism is the B:Live cycle tours. Arcis Tours together with Make It Happen organise specially curated trips on e-cycles to tiny pockets of the state. The guided tours allow a look into stories and heritage around Divar, Old Goa and Panaji among other specially curated trips. We were treated to two such tours; a tour through Divar and the heritage precinct of Panaji.
The island of Divar has a charm of its own; it is an experience all together. With a ferry ride that takes you to the island, to the narrow road that winds through marshy fields and in the distance, you catch a glimpse of tiled rooftops among coconut and mango trees. Taking an e-cycle to this beautiful village allows you to take in every little detail it has to offer.
