It’s only April and it’s all starting to feel like a little bit too much already! And in sympathy with your gradual exhaustion, your computer is going into an endless loop of 'not responding'. You weigh up your options:

a. Throw your computer out of the window.

b. Throw yourself out of the window.

c. Click on the restart button. Resisting the temptation to go with the first two options, your rational self takes control to select option c. Putting your computer (and yourself) out of misery, you reboot and power up again.

Imagine if our lives came with a similar reboot button. Stuck in a rut? Reboot. Trauma overriding your ability to function? Reboot. National crisis or personal problem? Reboot!

As with a computer, ‘reboot’ doesn’t mean replacing the device. It is, rather, about interrupting or stopping the current programme so that we can get up and running, functioning optimally once more.

The following ideas will help you do that.
