TTKs Visits Dundas Castle

My ineptitude when it comes to the great outdoors defies both nature and nurture. Given my rural upbringing and the resolutely proud farm girl I have for a mother, it was odds-on I’d grow up to become, well, Snow White. And while I’d happily take on her pure complexion and seven little friends, I really don’t share her resilience to the elements or her love of long forest walks.

Camping – that inevitable holiday for teenage Highland girls – always ended in disaster for me: I remember leaky tents, midge infestations and an entire pan of spaghetti that somehow ended up in a river (don’t ask). So when I was invited to try glamping at Dundas Castle’s estate in South Queensferry, these memories and more came back to haunt me. Turns out I needn’t have lost any sleep.
