We had to fall in love all over again after he suddenly forgot me and the kids.
By Charlotte Spencer, 37, from west London
As soon as I laid eyes on him, I knew…
My nerves about our first date melted away as he walked over and gave me a hug. ‘I’m glad we’ve finally done this,’ I smiled.
I’d been talking to Daniel, now 34, for months after we matched on a dating website and I’d bumped into him a few times.
But now, in July 2008, we’d arranged a proper date.
Tall and handsome, Daniel also made me laugh.
Our first date was quickly followed by another…
I was falling in love with Daniel, but I kept my feelings quiet.
Then, one night a week later, I was dropping Daniel home after dinner.
As he got out of the car, I accidentally dropped a bombshell. ‘Bye – love you!’ I blurted. ‘Oh, you love me, do you?’ he joked. ‘Um, maybe… Do you love me?’
I asked. ‘I think I do,’ he smiled. After, there was no going back. We moved in together and things were going great. A year later, I fell pregnant with Mya, now 6.
Being parents brought us even closer, and we decided to get married – after I’d had our second child Elijh, now 4.
In August 2013, we finally tied the knot. It was perfect – and on our wedding night, I fell pregnant again.
With a gorgeous husband, two beautiful kids and another on the way, I was living the dream.
One day, three months later – in November 2013 – I waved Daniel off to work as usual, before getting the kids ready for nursery.
