1. HOW HAS YOUR FITNESS REGIME CHANGED SINCE BEING A BALLERINA?
‘I realised very quickly that I couldn’t just do nothing. My body had been put under a lot of strain from doing 25 years of quite extreme balletic exercise, so I had to keep it moving to keep it supple and my joints strong. But the only thing I’ve ever really done is dance for fitness. I started off doing Zumba. I had such a laugh doing that but I wanted something slightly more diverse, and that’s why I devised DDMIX [Diverse Dance Mix – Darcey’s dance based fitness programme, that’s made up of 14 different dance styles, at diversedancemix.com].’
