The Independent National Gospel Music Awards (Ingoma) have made a huge impact in the gospel music industry by rewarding musicians for all their hard work. The awards were founded in 2013 by a young and vibrant person who saw the importance of acknowledging talented musicians who are not well established.

Dan Raseluma, the founder and CEO of the Ingoma Foundation, says the Ingomas were conceptualised with the aim of recognising the excellence of upcoming and independent gospel musicians in South Africa.
