Sindi Dlathu is famous yet humble and down-to-earth.
TV STAR, Sindi Dlathu (43), is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the world of soapies. She is one of the longest-serving and founding cast members of the popular SABC2 Tshivenda soapie, Muvhango. She started acting when she was just 17 years old and she has grown to become one of the most influential stars to have emerged in Mzansi. Her career in acting came as a surprise as she initially wanted to become a singer.
STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM
According to her biography, Sindi became a centre of attraction when she entered a music competition, where she mimed songs of celebrated stars such as Aretha Franklin.
She was also one the finalists of the talent search competition, Shell Road to Fame, at the age of 12. Lady luck smiled on her when a former Mahotella Queens member, Nomsa Mtolo, mentored her and introduced her to the entertainment industry.
