WITH the country entering a recession recently and the unemployment rate hitting a 13-year high, many people are left wondering how they are going to land the right job in this economic downturn. Move! speaks to employment agencies on ways to help you get employment during these trying times.

CHEAPER WAYS TO JOB HUNT 

Looking for a job can be costly and time-consuming. Gerda du Plessis of Express Employment Professional says technology has made networking a lot easier. 

“Sign up on websites like Careers24 and keep your info updated on your profile. Add your work history to your social media pages and send your updated CV to contacts and recruitment agencies in your area. Please remember that recruitment companies are not allowed to ask you a placement fee,” she says.
