How DJ Zinhle Got Through Her Tough Times

ONE of the first successful female DJ’s in South Africa, DJ Zinhle, has been through a lot. In 2015, while heavily pregnant, she discovered that the father of her child, hip hop star, AKA, was cheating on her with entertainment queen, Bonang Matheba. She then faced challenges with the house she was building, and as a result, had to move in with her best friend, actress and TV presenter, Pearl Thusi. Zinhle says with everything that was happening in her life, she felt very overwhelmed.

DEALING WITH A LOT

Zinhle decided to build a home for herself and her baby girl Kairo, but the project, which was taking too long to come together, really took a toll on her.

She recently appeared on comedian Tumi Morake’s show, #WTFTumi, on SABC3, where she spoke about how she was at the brink of falling apart because she was so overwhelmed with everything that was happening in her life.

When asked how she makes everything work when she has so much on her plate, she said, “I make it work, but I have been feeling a little overwhelmed lately. It is a bit too much, especially with the house project. I thought I was going to die at some point.”

Zinhle says at some point, the project got stuck and she had to call on her friend DJ Euphonic, who is coincidentally Bonang’s ex-boyfriend, to sort it out.
