The consequences of having multiple sexual partners are not only physical
HAVING multiple sex partners is a personal choice, however, you need to be careful as it carries multiple risks.
With terms like friends with benefits, booty call, umakhwapheni, one night stand, stock and weekend special, society has made promiscuity fashionable, but the results are not good at all. People who believe that casual sex is empowering to women are not making matters any easier. A study by The National Marriage Project, which provides research and analysis on the health of marriages, states that people, especially women, who have multiple-sexual partners before getting married report unhappier marriages down the line.
PSYCHOLOGICAL RISKS
According to Vuyani Madikwa, a Cape Town-based psychologist, there is no such thing as no consequence and meaningless sex.
Vuyani warns that having multiple sexual partners can lead to psychological disorders that may affect your behaviour and cause serious problems later on in your life.
