Duma Ka Ndlovu says production houses are no longer focused on qualified actors
IF you are truly passionate about acting and would love to be part of top soapies such as Muvhango, it is advisable that you acquire the relevant degree or diploma. Duma Ka Ndlovu, who is the executive producer and creator of Muvhango, has stated that he plans to have only qualified actors on his shows in future.
FOCUS HAS CHANGED
During a recent interview with a Sunday publication, Duma said he will no longer be hiring actors without qualifications as he does not believe people who did not study drama can be good actors, adding that, “In the same way that a person who did not study medicine cannot be a doctor.”
He said production houses have turned their focus away from hiring actors with the relevant qualifications.
