KENNETH Nkosi has been in the acting industry for 25 years and has portrayed a variety of roles over the years. He says he has played so many funny roles that he could play them in his sleep. However, he now wants to do more serious roles.&nbsp;BUSINESS OF ACTING&nbsp;Kenneth says he is a trained actor and can play both serious and funny roles.&nbsp;&ldquo;But I want to do more dramas and be versatile,&rdquo; he says. In his latest movie, Five Fingers for Marseilles, he plays a stern mayor, who wants to make the town bigger and better, a part he says he enjoyed.&nbsp;&ldquo;Bongani, like many leaders, has the town&rsquo;s best intentions at heart, but power gets to him and he ends up selling out his community for his own benefit,&rdquo; he says.&nbsp;If he wasn&rsquo;t an actor, Kenneth says he would definitely be a teacher. &ldquo;I wanted to be a teacher before the acting bug bit me at the age of 16. But with my job, I get opportunities to lecture students from time to time when I am asked,&rdquo; he says.&nbsp;The award-winning actor says he is currently working on a film based on Zakes Mda&rsquo;s book, Ways of Dying, and says it&rsquo;s something to look out for. However, he took a break from producing movies after he produced the movie, White Wedding, which was a hit with fans. &ldquo;When you make a movie, you want it to entertain viewers and to also&nbsp;make money. Many people pirated the movie and it wasn&rsquo;t as profitable as we had hoped and this honestly killed me,&rdquo; he says.&nbsp;A FAMILY MAN&nbsp;Kenneth is a family man and loves his wife and three daughters, aged seven, 14 and 16, very much.&nbsp;&ldquo;I live with four women in the house and get all the attention in the world. When I get home, one of my daughters wants to chat to me, one is taking off my shoes, while the other wants to feed me. It&rsquo;s amazing,&rdquo; he says.&nbsp;Kenneth&rsquo;s children are trying to get him to live a healthier lifestyle. &ldquo;I&rsquo;d be watching TV and one of them would say, &lsquo;papa, don&rsquo;t you want to walk?&rsquo; We have now developed a routine; one day we walk, the next we ride our bikes and some days we walk the dogs together. The truth is that I am not getting younger and need to take better care of myself,&rdquo; he says, adding that he does not like going to gym but prefers playing soccer with his neighbours.&nbsp;HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH RAPULANA&nbsp;Kenneth and actor, Rapulana Seiphemo, are good friends, who met in the industry.&nbsp;&ldquo;When I first heard of Rapulana, he was in the United Kingdom studying. When I met him I was blown away and even more surprised that he also knew who I was,&rdquo; he says.&nbsp;However, their friendship only ignited at a later stage and is built on mutual respect.
