TAXI violence is nothing new in South Africa and has reared its ugly head again, especially in KwaZulu-Natal. The deputy chairperson of the Klipriver Taxi Association was recently killed in Ladysmith in what is believed to be related to taxi conflict in the area.

INVESTIGATIONS UNDERWAY

According to police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbhele, the deputy chairperson was driving on Matiwaneskop Road in Ladysmith with four other people when two cars approached and fired shots at them.
