Mo And Phindi Grootboom
When He Disappears Before The Big Day

WHEN we got married on 2 April 2005, Mo was four hours late. Yes, you read right. Before we got married, we had only known each other for 13 months, and only dated 10 of those months. There was a lot we still needed to know about each other. However, one thing we knew from the onset was that between the two of us, Phindi is the one that’s always late.

LITTLE DISORGANISATION

So when Phindi got to the wedding venue two hours earlier than Mo, she thought, “OMG! He better not have chickened out”. It turned out that his delay was due to a little disorganisation on his part. Although we’ve never experienced the panic due to the challenge of one partner running away on the day of or close to the wedding, Phindi’s emotional rollercoaster on the day of our wedding does give us a glimpse. As every guest is in attendance waiting with great excitement to witness and help you celebrate the biggest day of your life, you can’t contain the nervousness inside you.
