Worshipping Through Music

THE beautiful smile of Eastern Cape-born rising gospel star, Nonhlanhla Makhasi, lights up the room and she gives electrifying performances on the Eastern Cape stages and beyond.

RICH TONES AND DEPTH

Nonhlanhla’s gift of song, love of the gospel and gospel music has catapulted her, as the Bible says, “before great men”. She has commanded the attention of stars from the Eastern Cape and has graced the stages with gospel greats such as Siphokazi, Veliswa Skeyi and Khanyisa NkantsuSabuka. Nonhlanhla has also been a backing vocalist for the Eastern Cape’s musical geniuses. Her voice has added rich tones and depth to each artist’s recording.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Nonhlanhla was raised in the church by her grandmother, who was very fond of worship. She discovered her talent for singing as a young girl living in Mdanstane township in East London.
