Have you ever felt under ridiculous pressure to get a very important thing done at work? Struggled to switch off after a long week of working through your ‘to do’ list? Been upset by difficult conversations with clients or colleagues? And then found yourself getting grouchy with the people you love because you had a really hard day in the office? I know I have.
The bad news is these workplace stressors aren’t going away. Even when we accomplish the task, nail the list and somehow ignore workplace conflict, there will always be something at work to create tension. The good news is that science can provide direction to help us handle the lifetime of work-related pressures we face.
