The Star Tells Why She’s Wild for Her Life Right Now

Big Little Reese Better Things Come In Small Packages!

Big Little Lies star Reese Witherspoon laughs at the fact her show is full of women behaving badly, but that she won’t tolerate wicked behaviour in Hollywood.

“You just try not to get involved,” the 43-year-old Oscar-winning actress admits.

“When you see ‘crazy’, you just walk away from it, keep your head down, keep working, do the right thing and stay out of the person’s way!

“I’ve watched a lot of really bad behaviour happen in Hollywood and, as I get older, I’m glad I get to pick and choose who I want to work with.”

In the second season of Big Little Lies, the exploits of the Monterey five − Celeste (played by Nicole Kidman), Madeline (Reese), Jane (Shailene Woodley), Renata (Laura Dern) and Bonnie (Zoë Kravitz) − continue to be delicious and addictive but also outrageous.

As well as covering up murder and committing adultery, many of the women are on the verge of a breakdown, as witnessed in one shocking episode where Nicole’s character Celeste slaps Meryl Streep’s new character Mary Louise across the face.

Remarkably, Reese says there’s no tension on set even with all that drama, and laughs at her own memorable Meryl scene where Mary Louise tells Madeline, “I don’t trust short people.”
