SIR ROD OPENS UP ABOUT HIS BRUSH WITH CANCER

Sir Rod Stewart has revealed his secret battle with prostate cancer, three years after first being diagnosed.

The rocker, who has recently been given the all clear, made the shocking revelations at a prostate cancer charity function he attended alongside former Faces bandmates Kenney Jones (71) and Ronnie Wood (72).

However, in typical fashion, Rod was sure to inject some humour into his declaration as he stood in front of guests, telling his wife Penny, Lady Stewart, he was about to “come out”.

“No, it’s not what you think,” he laughed.

“Two years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. No-one knows this, but I thought it was about time I told everybody. I’m in the clear now, simply because I caught it early.”
