Two royal babies being christened at the same time is a rare occurrence and would have been a key event for the Queen, says royal author Penny Junor. I've never heard of two royal babies being christened together like this,” she tells. The Queen is very spiritual. A christening is a very important occasion for the head of the Church of England and being there will have been of great importance to her.
Penny says the Queen, 95, is fond of Lucas' parents Zara and Mike Tindall, and also of August's mum Eugenie, 31. August, nine months, is her ninth great-grandchild, and 13th in line to the throne, while Lucas, eight months, is her great-grandchild number 10 and 24th in line.
The two wee boys are second cousins and were born just six weeks apart.
