How She Went From Fan to One of His Leading Ladies.

Love Letter To Quentin Margot's Gamble Paid Off

Even Margot Robbie is surprised by just how quickly she found success in Hollywood. The gorgeous Aussie actress recently described landing a plum TV role just weeks after making the move to the United States.

“All of a sudden I was shooting a pilot in New York City,” she tells. “Everything was so crazy. Before I knew it we’d done the pilot for Pan Am and there was a poster up in Times Square. I’d barely been there six months!”

Pan Am was canned after just one series in 2012, but there was no holding Margot back.

Her career skyrocketed shortly after when she starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013. Its raunchy scenes led to an offer from Playboy magazine, which she promptly turned down.

“I’ve put my family through enough,” she laughs. “Plus, those were not completely my assets. I had eaten an apple pie the night before, so don’t come to me for diet advice. Just have a whole team lighting and oiling you and you’ll look great!”

The down-to-earth star has since earned a Best Actress Oscar nomination for playing disgraced ice-skater Tonya Harding in I, Tonya and her new role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is creating more Oscar buzz.

Margot (29) admits she was the one who contacted the acclaimed director.
