The world has seen some talented TV chefs over the decades – Julia Child, Nigella Lawson – even New Zealand’s own Alison Holst. Now, stand by for Paris Hilton!
The 40-year-old hotel heiress, more famous for her partying than her passion for the perfect pumpkin pie, is back on the small screen this month with her new Netflix offering Cooking With Paris.
And the former wild child says her surprise entry into the world of TV cookery is a sign she’s started a whole new chapter of her life.
“I’m so over going to parties,” says the former “It girl”, who was a paparazzi favourite in the 2000s, regularly snapped slipping in and out of nightclubs and going to lunch with a miniature pooch peering out of her designer handbag.
“I used to live for the nightlife. Now I couldn’t care less. I love being at home watching Netflix and cooking with my love.”
Her love is fiancé tech startup entrepreneur Carter Milliken Reum, 40, and, Paris says, “It’s nice to be with someone where you don’t even want to go out because it’s more fun being at home together. I have lived 10 million lifetimes. I’m ready for the real simple life.”
