It’s claws out at dawn for two of music’s biggest knights. Sir Elton John and Sir Rod Stewart have been famously close for decades – they even have pet names for each other.

But Elton and Rod – or “Sharon” and “Phyllis”, respectively – are currently at odds, with the Crocodile Rock singer refusing to talk to Rod after the Scottish crooner apparently slighted his farewell tour, which is heading our way early next year.

Says Rod, “I love Elton, only we’re not talking at the moment. We’ve had a spat. I criticised his tour as being money-grabbing.”
